If you’re familiar with the countryside, you know it’s an ever-changing landscape, created and moulded by innovation and ingenuity, and one that varies from one region to the next.
Technology, communications and a changing demographic have led to a more diverse community of people and businesses in rural areas. These days, digital start-ups and holiday cottages operate alongside dairy farms and stately homes with more traditional enterprises responding to market forces. This is a way of carving out new and innovative ways of deriving income.
At Lycetts, our expertise has grown and evolved with the rural economy and we offer some of the most competitive rural insurance products in the market. All our policies have been designed to meet clients’ requirements. Many of our executives also have hands-on experience of running rural businesses or have rural backgrounds.
Above all, we prize the integrity upon which each individual account is managed and have a commitment to personal service. Each client is assigned a dedicated account handler, with whom they can discuss their insurance requirements. Working closely with our financial service team, we offer a comprehensive service to individuals and companies seeking to protect their assets.
We are also privileged to work with some of the most resilient and inspiring businesses in the rural economy. By helping our hugely varied spectrum of clients to manage their exposure to risk, we help enable businesses to thrive and survive – often in spite of tough market conditions.

If the claim is to be for theft or malicious damage, please remember to report the incident to the police and obtain a crime reference number. On larger claims (in excess of £2,000), insurers may wish to appoint a loss adjuster, in which case your Lycetts team will provide advice on procedure. Regarding liability claims, it is essential that any potential claims are notified to Lycetts immediately and all correspondence is promptly forwarded to your Lycetts contact.
