Horse Transit insurance

Due to the flexible nature of the policies that Lycetts can offer, we are able to arrange short term horse transit insurance for horses travelling all over the world.

Your horse can be insured for:

12 months including transit;
30 days including transit;
‘stable to stable’ transit – which starts when your horse leaves its stable of origin and finishes when it arrives at its stable of destination; and/or
tarmac to tarmac transit – which is only used when flying horses to exotic locations (such as China) and starts when you horse boards the plan and finishes when the horse leaves the plane.

How to claim horse in transit insurance.

In the event of a claim, please notify your Lycetts account executive or claims handler as soon as possible, and certainly of the incident.

Some policies have strict time limits for notification of claims, so if there is a delay you may prejudice your claim.
