Lycetts is an expert in catering for smaller scale urban agricultural and community enterprises, as seen with our community garden, city, open and care farm insurance services.

Lycetts offers expert, impartial insurance broking services for a range of small-scale farms and community ventures. We work with social enterprises that are open to members of the public, such as city farms and community gardens, through to care farms that offer a rehabilitation environment to people with mental health problems. We also arrange cover for allotments, orchards and community gardens.

In addition to public liability insurance cover up to a limit of £5 million, we offer a wealth of specially designed products and services, such as employers’ liability and cover for special events.

The leisure sector is diversifying with small, independent ventures that are integrated into the local community. We are proud to work in partnership with many of these enterprises and specialise in providing bespoke insurance cover for their commercial and social activities.

Lycetts is pleased to announce a discounted insurance offer for Care Farming UK members.  If a quote is accepted, a discount of 5% will be offered to Care Farming UK members, rising to 15% for those care farms meeting its Code of Practice.

Care Farms Advice Guide

How to claim community garden, city, open and care farm insurance.

It is a condition of all insurance policies that incidents that may result in claims are reported to insurers without delay. If such incidents are not reported within an acceptable timescale (usually 30 days from the time of the incident) your insurers may refuse to indemnify you.

In the event of a claim in relation to a commercial business policy, you should contact your Lycetts account executive/handler as soon as possible. When completing claim forms, ensure the whole form is completed as far as possible and it is signed on your behalf or your company’s behalf by an authorised person.
