Lycetts sponsored and hosted a charity golf day, which raised more than £1,000 to help people in Northamptonshire develop their skills and confidence.
The event, held at Northamptonshire County Golf Course, was in support of the Northampton Saints Foundation.
Callum Holland, of Lycetts’ Northamptonshire office, said: “We raised money from donations, a raffle for a Fortnum and Masons hamper, and a signed Saints rugby ball, which, with match-funding from Lycetts’ parent company, Benefact Group, totalled £1,040.”
Among those taking part in the competition was James Grayson, fly half for Northampton Saints Rugby, who was part of the winning team.
The Foundation uses the power of sport and the values of rugby to inspire, support and educate thousands of people every year.
Its education and social inclusion programmes inspire the current generation to learn, develop new skills, increase confidence and, where appropriate, return to education, training or employment.
Callum added: “It was great to support such a worthy cause and, due to its success, we intend to make it an annual event, but later in the year – when it’s a bit warmer and there’s no snow!”
