Lycetts’ Norfolk office put together a team to support the charity, Nelson’s Journey.
Lycetts was one of a number of businesses from across the county that played a football tournament to support the charity, which helps children and young people in Norfolk who have experienced bereavement.
Lycetts’ parent company, Benefact Group, generously doubled the amount raised on the day, taking the total to £4,500.
The other companies fielding teams were Wensum Print, Minors and Brady, Yellow Brick Mortgages, Aquaterra Energy, Brandex, Norwich Seniors, Lovewell Blake and Price Bailey – who took the title.
Oli Smith, of Wensum Print, said: “We all decided to get involved after learning of the amazing work that Nelson’s Journey does for our young people.
“As well as raising money, the tournament will hopefully help shine a light on the importance of the charity, which is celebrating its 25th year and which relies heavily on donations.”
The tournament was held at Norfolk County FA’s ground and, due to the success of the day, and the level of support, it is now set to become an annual event benefitting different Norfolk charities each year.
