Lycetts is delighted to announce the appointment of two industry experts to bolster its rural and estates activities and further drive growth.
Amanda Harman has been appointed Divisional Director at the Lycetts Sussex office, whilst Vince Kelly has joined the company’s Newmarket team as an Associate Director.
Amanda Harman, who has worked in the insurance industry for more than 30 years as a medical underwriter, direct insurer and broker, joins Lycetts from Aon, where she was Head of Estates Practice.
In her role as a Lycetts Divisional Director, Amanda will lead the company’s office in Billinghurst, Sussex, primarily advising clients on estates matters in the South East region, including Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.
“Lycetts has been on my radar for several years,” said Amanda. “I admire the way that the company works and the personnel I have met, before and since joining Lycetts, have been top rate, demonstrating the highest level of expertise in their fields.
“The time is right for me to take on a new challenge close to my home and to become a ‘local agent’ again.”
Amanda brings with her a raft of experience in country houses and estates and agricultural insurance, with additional focus in the areas of commercial activity, liabilities and specialist covers.
She is looking forward to forging strong relationships with clients, nurturing staff relations, expanding experience through training programmes, invigorating business growth and broadening the insurance offering and client base.
Jonathan Lloyd, regional director at Lycetts, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming someone of Amanda’s calibre to the team and are confident that her refined skillset and extensive expertise will help us to deliver on both our core values and our ambitious growth plans.”
Lycetts has further bolstered its rural division with the appointment of a new associate director.
Vince Kelly will be advising Lycetts’ East of England clients on rural insurance matters, with particular focus on farm and estates.
Vince brings with him more than 20 years’ industry experience, having begun his career at NFU’s Ipswich office, followed by roles at Robins Row, Gauntlet, Aon and Marsh.
Speaking of his new role, Vince said: “Lycetts are known as one of the best landed estate and farm insurance brokers in the country and therefore an ideal home to not only build upon my knowledge but an opportunity to offer insights of alternative, effective ways to comprehensively insure larger commercially-oriented landed estates.
“I am looking forward to fostering relationships with Lycetts existing clients, as well as further enhancing the broker’s presence in the region through the acquisition of new business.”
Anna Goodley, regional director at Lycetts Newmarket office, said: “Vince will be integral in facilitating and delivering on Lycetts’ aspirational expansion plans in the East of England region.
“His commitment to client service is commendable, a value we also take tremendous pride in, and we are excited to embark on this new era of sustained growth.”
