Ahead of these inspections, the HSE has published a guide “What a Good Farm Looks Like” and during the inspections they will assess a farm’s compliance with the topics covered in the guide.
HSE statistics show that in 2017/18 there were 33 deaths in Great Britain’s agriculture, forestry and fishing sectors. The aim of this initiative is to promote risk management, to prevent accidents occurring and to protect farmers, their workers, contractors and members of the public.
