We Know Your World

After gaining an Agriculture and Business Management degree at Newcastle University, Edmund worked for various farming businesses before moving to London to start his career as an insurance broker in Lloyd’s. In 2010 Edmund returned to the Yorkshire and has worked in rural insurance ever since.

The son of a resident land agent, Edmund has extensive knowledge of both estate and sporting management having been involved at various levels in the running of a large commercial shoot and grouse moor. Growing up on an estate, combined with his knowledge of farming, places him in a strong position to advise farmers and landowners on their insurance needs.

Out of hours Edmund maintains his interest in agriculture on his father-in-law’s farm while continuing to enjoy shooting, fishing and walking.

“Through my day to day involvement in the rural world, whether that be farming or out shooting, I understand the issues and concerns that our clients experience. This puts me in the best position possible to be able to offer insurance solutions that are perfectly suited to our clients’ specific needs”

Edmund is based at our Yorkshire office and in conjunction with advising landowners, farmers and private clients on their needs, he also advises on all matters related to insurance for rural pursuits and shoot cancellation in particular.
