North Tyneside charity Live Well with Cancer is celebrating a £1,000 donation from Lycetts, as part of the Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards.
The charity, dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer, was nominated by staff from Newcastle-based Lycetts and is one of 110 charities from across the UK and Ireland to benefit from a share of more than £1million.
The donation will help Live Well with Cancer to continue providing essential services and support to individuals battling cancer, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources during their journey.
“We are extremely thankful for this generous contribution,” said Maureen Elliott, CEO and Founder of Live Well With Cancer.
“Every penny of support helps brings us closer to a world where no one has to face cancer alone.”
Rachael Plant, one of the Lycetts team that nominated the charity, said: “Supporting Live Well with Cancer through the Movement for Good Awards is deeply gratifying for all of us at Lycetts.
“This charity performs a critical role in our community by offering unwavering support to those impacted by cancer. We hope this donation will not only support its invaluable services, but also build upon the hope and strength it instils in every individual and family it touches.”
The Benefact Group has donated more than £200million to charitable causes since 2014 and last year was recognised as the third biggest corporate giver in the UK1. The organisation aims to reach £250million in donations by 2025. Movement for Good is funded by EIO plc, part of the Benefact Group.
