December 21st 2022
Christmas has always been a time for giving and our staff have been doing just that during December.
Our Yorkshire Office Team
Our Yorkshire office put together a collection to buy a family in need Christmas presents this year which they would not be receiving otherwise.
It is a family which belongs to a kinship which supports people who care for relative’s children to prevent them from going in to care.
The lady from the kinship cares for her 3 year old niece and has two 12 year old boys. To be able to take her niece in she has had to give up her job so money has been tight.
The office team managed to raise £120 between them to be able to gift Christmas presents for the children.
Our Norfolk, Newmarket and Northampton Office Teams
Our offices in Northampton, Newmarket and Norfolk combined forces to put together a donation for the Northampton HOPE Centre, a charity who helps people experiencing the most acute problems of disadvantage and marginalization, including homelessness, addiction and mental health. This was the third time the team had given to the charity but this time they really surpassed themselves. The charity were blown away by their efforts and were certainly relieved they used their van to collect!
Our Newcastle Office Team
It is becoming increasingly clear what the effects of the cost of living crisis are, we often hear of stories where families have to make a decision about “heating or eating”. Whilst we may not be able to directly help with the heating issue for those who are struggling, we can help those who may find feeding themselves or their families difficult. That is why the Newcastle office did all they could to put together the below donation for Newcastle West End foodbank. Newcastle West End foodbank opened in March 2013 and is one of the busiest foodbanks in the UK, providing more than 18,000 food parcels annually. They offer emergency food assistance to people in the west end of Newcastle.
Our Norfolk Office Team
Our Norfolk office team held a Christmas jumper day in the office where money was raised for Save the Children. The team within the office raised £60, and this will be matched by the team at Benefact Group meaning the overall donation to Save the Children will be £120.
Our Newcastle Motor Team
The Newcastle Motor team have visited The People’s Kitchen where they donated £100 in food donations as well as a £100 cheque. The People’s Kitchen support the homeless and serve over 250 meals every day, 365 days a year. Their venue is a lifeline for people who want to enjoy a meal in a safe space, with friends who understand and care for each other.
Thank you to everyone for your support this year, and we look forward to 2023.
